Bronny James stays late at Lakers practice as he fights to keep his roster spot

Bronny James has a big opportunity ahead now that he is no longer LeBron James’ teammate. Much has been said about what his future will look like without his father’s presence in the Lakers locker room, but Bronny is choosing to focus on the present. He was recently the last player to leave the gym after practice, showing his determination to prove that his last name is not the only reason he belongs in Los Angeles. JJ Redick appears to have plans for him and the Lakers are expected to continue supporting his development heading into the new season. If James continues to impress during training camp, he is likely to make the final Lakers roster for the 2026-27 season, with the team expected to make its final roster decision at some point during the preseason.
