Concern about the mental health of former NBA and Real Madrid player Kyle Singler
The former player once again posts videos in which he says his life is in danger and attacks Mike Krzyzewski, his former coach at Duke

Former player Kyle Singler 's mental health is once again a cause for concern after videos were posted on his Instagram account in which he can be seen looking disheveled and lashing out at legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski , who coached him at Duke University . He also claims that people have entered his home, stolen money from him, and tampered with his bank accounts.
In sometimes unintelligible language, Singler can be heard saying that his former coach has "set a trap" for him and "abandoned" him. The small forward, who is 38 years old, was the standout player in the NCAA title that Duke won in 2010 with Coach K on the bench. "Coach, where are you? I thought we were on the same team," he can be heard saying.
The former player claims to feel like a prisoner: "I am locked in my house and I no longer have freedom." His bank accounts, he says, are frozen and they have even cut off the electricity at a home in which he feels "like a prisoner."
'The most worrying part is when Singler confesses: "My life is in danger." It is not the first time he has said it. In November 2024, he had already posted a video in which he claimed to have been mistreated and feared for his life. At that time, the NBA players' union got in touch with his family, and players such as Kevin Love, Isaiah Thomas and Andre Drummond publicly offered him their support. "I love you, Kyle. Message me whenever you want, please," wrote the first of them.'
Singler, a college star, had his first professional experience with Lucentum Alicante . He then signed for Real Madrid , where he spent the 2011-12 season. The Pistons opened the doors to the NBA for him, and he also played for the Thunder . After six seasons in the United States, he returned to Spain to join Obradoiro and play two games with La Laguna in 2019.
