Doncic was publicly seen to be affected by having to separate from his two daughters , something he expressed on Sunday through a moving Instagram post that included several family photos.

"G+O, no matter what part of the world Dad is in. Not a day goes by without you being in my heart. Wherever I go, you are always with me. I love you!" the Lakers star shared with his more than 10.8 million followers on Instagram.

"I love my daughters more than anything in the world, and I have done everything possible for them to be with me in the United States, but it has not been possible. Everything I do is for their happiness, and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life possible," Doncic said in March 2026.
