Jimmy Butler solves serious family problem and refocuses on the Warriors and his future

J immy Butler ’s lengthy legal battle with former girlfriend Kaitlin Nowak has taken an unexpected turn, with new court documents revealing the pair are now living together.

Nowak filed documents Wednesday saying she and the Golden State Warriors forward recently reached a “comprehensive” parenting agreement involving their three children.

She also stated that she and Butler “are living with one another,” while adding that “there are other circumstances which can be presented to the court.”

Dispute stretched back to 2023

Nowak filed a paternity and child support lawsuit in October 2023. Months later, a judgment established Butler as the biological father of their three children.

The pair subsequently agreed to $55,000 per month in child support, while court records showed Butler was also paying another $10,000 per month for childcare. That additional payment later became contentious.

In late 2024, Butler asked the court to reconsider the childcare expense, arguing that a nanny was unnecessary because two of the children were attending school. His filing also alleged that Nowak was “unemployed and refuses to seek employment.”

A settlement could be weeks away

The latest filing suggests their relationship has changed considerably since those disputes.

Nowak is asking the court to keep the case on the docket and says she believes it can be fully resolved within the next 45 to 60 days. The matter had reportedly been dismissed earlier this month.

The documents don't state whether Butler and Nowak have reconciled romantically, and neither has publicly explained their current living arrangement.

What is clear is that a case once defined by arguments over support, childcare and parenting now appears close to a comprehensive resolution.
