J osh Hart found a way to turn a tense moment at Madison Square Garden into something funny. During Tuesday’s game between the Knicks and Detroit, a scuffle broke out on the court. Jack seemed startled by the gesture and responded with a quick swat; Hart immediately lowered his hands and flashed a mischievous grin.
The moment caught people’s attention on social media because it happened in the middle of an intense game and seemed to come out of nowhere: Josh got the idea and acted on it in a matter of seconds.
Hart’s scare for Jarrett Jack came during a much-needed Knicks win
The altercation began as Karl-Anthony Towns and John Collins battled for a rebound. Collins hit Towns in the head and was assessed a Flagrant 1 foul. The play raised tensions on the court before Josh Hart’s unexpected, hilarious move.
The Knicks overcame a 13-point first-quarter deficit to beat Detroit 111-97, earning their first win of the season after an 0-3 start. The previously undefeated Pistons fell to 3-1. New York outscored Detroit 63-25 in the second and third quarters to take control of the game.
