LaMelo Ball, faster than anyone in the race for three-pointers in the NBA
He is the player who reaches 1,000 three-pointers in the fewest games played

When on January 7, 2015, Stephen Curry reached 1,000 three-pointers in his 369th game, it was said to be a record that would last a long time. And it did, although only for seven years, when Buddy Hield , on February 28, 2021 , needed only 350 games to reach the milestone. Now, that mark set by Hield has been completely shattered.
In fact, the previous record, 343 games by Duncan Robinson since March 17, 2024, has been shattered by the feat that LaMelo Ball has just achieved in a game in which he reached his season-high scoring mark of 34, while leading the Timberwolves to their fifth win of the season against the Milwaukee Bucks, 112-100.
LaMelo , who had been listed as doubtful due to a blow to the wrist, made six three-pointers in the game. The third goes straight into the history books because it is the 1,000th of his career . The Wolves player brings the number of games needed to achieve it down to 311 , lowering the previous mark set by Robinson by 32. The Wolves player is the fastest player to have amassed those 1,000 three-pointers in NBA history.
Ball has emerged as a very reliable shooter despite having shown some problems with that facet at different stages of his career. At 25 years old he has managed to incorporate the three-point shot as a fundamental weapon. Now, though not as an obsession, it remains to be seen whether he is capable of threatening Stephen Curry's throne as the NBA's top three-point shooter. The Warriors star has 4,270 and counting. That's saying a lot.
