LeBron James had a heated exchange with Knicks fans during his Philadelphia 76ers debut at Madison Square Garden. The 41-year-old responded to a heckler who appeared to question his toughness, firing back that he was from Ohio, not the West Coast. The confrontation caught the attention of the NBC broadcast, with Knicks superfan Spike Lee stepping in to help defuse the situation. Despite the hostile reception, James and the 76ers spoiled New York’s championship celebration with a 106-100 season-opening win. James finished with 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
