It's an extremely exciting time to be a Philadelphia 76ers fan. After years of the fanbase hoping to see Joel Embiid get more superstar help, the team traded for Jaylen Brown and signed LeBron James this offseason.

With Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe filling out the starting lineup, there are very high hopes for the team this upcoming season. The players did their best to keep the good vibes going this week, as the Sixers hosted their media day. James stood out in particular , for various reasons.

LeBron James has embraced going bald before age-42 season

The biggest one was a drastic change in his appearance . For years, fans have practically been begging James to let his hair go. His hairline has been receding for what seems like eons, and ahead of his 24th season in the NBA, he's finally done it: James has shaved his head and gone bald .

Unsurprisingly, the look suits him quite well. He was already almost all the way there, and his beard complements the look. James is fully embracing old age as he enters his age-42 season .

The 76ers will begin their 2026-27 season with a road game at Madison Square Garden against the defending champion New York Knicks on October 20 . As of right now, the 76ers and Knicks have the third-best odds to win the NBA Championship at +900 .
