LeBron James spins into the spotlight after vintage performance against Knicks

LeBron James has delivered memorable performances on basketball's biggest stages for more than two decades. At 41, with a record-extending 24th NBA season underway and a new chapter in Philadelphia, the four-time NBA champion is still finding ways to remind everyone that he can take over when the pressure rises. And judging by his latest performance, he might be having quite a bit of fun doing it. James came up with the biggest plays down the stretch Friday night, helping the Philadelphia 76ers defeat the defending NBA champion New York Knicks, 98-93, in their opening game of NBA Cup group play. The veteran forward finished with 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, delivering perhaps his best performance since joining the Sixers.
