A new era for the James family as LeBron and Savannah share proud Zhuri moment
Their youngest child has officially started a major new chapter.

LeBron James and Savannah James are watching their family enter another new era, and this time the milestone has nothing to do with professional basketball.
Their 11-year-old daughter, Zhuri Nova James , officially started sixth grade this week, beginning middle school as her proud parents marked the emotional occasion on social media.
With Bronny James now building his own NBA career and Bryce James playing college basketball at Arizona, Zhuri remains the youngest of LeBron and Savannah's three children .
Savannah admitted that seeing her daughter take another big step toward growing up wasn't easy.
"The girl started 6th grade today... Am I okay? Not really. Did I cry about it? Yes. Am I so proud of her and excited to see her continue to grow into an amazing young woman? Absolutely. Go be great Baby!!" Savannah wrote.
LeBron James sends emotional message to Zhuri
LeBron reshared his wife's message before posting one of his own for the daughter he affectionately calls "mama face."
"My Baby Z first day of 6th grade today! Man o Man!! Ammo is fully loaded and I ain't playing about my Princess LOL," James wrote.
He then offered Zhuri some advice for the school year ahead.
"Have a wonderful school year mama face, have fun and continue to be YOU! It's always ENOUGH! Love you."
The morning wasn't entirely emotional.
LeBron also shared footage from their journey to school, including a moment when Zhuri surprised him by knowing the words to "Phone Tap" by AZ featuring Nature and Dr. Dre.
"She really knew the song though! I was like WHAT! lol," James wrote.
James family enters another new chapter
The milestone comes as all three James children increasingly begin following their own paths.
Bronny is entering his third NBA season with the Los Angeles Lakers , while Bryce is continuing his basketball career with the Arizona Wildcats .
Zhuri's first day of middle school offered LeBron and Savannah a very different proud parent moment.
Basketball has defined much of the public story surrounding the James family, but Savannah's emotional admission made clear that watching their youngest child grow up can mean just as much.
"Go be great Baby!!" she wrote.
For LeBron and Savannah , another chapter in their children's lives has officially begun.
