James posted an Instagram story directed straight at the city's residents. “Philly Fam!! Where do I go to eat seafood with potatoes and vegetables?” , he wrote. He then tagged Savannah and added: “My queen @mrs_savannahrj is asking! She loves all the suggestions. Obviously, the best ones”.

The message made it clear that the craving was not for him. Savannah was looking for a specific option, and LeBron decided to turn his local followers into a kind of foodie guide to find it.

The scene drew attention precisely because of its simplicity. In the midst of his adjustment to the Sixers, the player was not asking about a luxury restaurant or a place related to the NBA. He only needed a good recommendation to fulfill a request from his wife while they both go through the first weeks of this new stage.

A new life away from Los Angeles

The situation also reflects the complex change brought about by LeBron’s arrival in Philadelphia. The four-time MVP left the Los Angeles Lakers after eight seasons and signed a two-year, eight-million-dollar contract with Philadelphia, with a player option for the second season. At 41, he will face the 24th season of his career with the Sixers.

The change has also affected the family dynamic. Bronny James remains in Los Angeles with the Lakers, while Bryce plays college basketball in Arizona and Zhuri continues her studies.

LeBron's own adaptation is not proving completely easy either. The player acknowledged during training camp that being away from his family represents a significant change from his usual routine, although he said that feeling accompanied by his teammates helps him.

James has chosen to keep his residence in New York and commute to Philadelphia to fulfill his commitments with the Sixers. To do so, he uses a Fanatics helicopter included as part of his commercial agreement with the company. The flight can cut down to around 30-45 minutes a trip that by road usually comes close to two hours.

Logistics has already become one of the hallmarks of this new stage. LeBron has been seen using the helicopter to travel between New York and Philadelphia , while he continues to integrate into the dynamics of his new team.

Within the Sixers, meanwhile, his commitment does not seem to be in question. His teammates have pointed out that he usually arrives early at the facilities, and LeBron already had his first preseason minutes with Philadelphia, with 10 points and five assists against the Brooklyn Nets.

Now, between practices, helicopter trips, and his new life on the East Coast, James has a much simpler mission pending: to find in Philadelphia the seafood dish Savannah wants.
