O’Neal then made his pitch to bring the style back into the mainstream.
“Ladies, if your man ain’t got some of these, you need to break up with him,” Shaq said in the video. “I’m bringing ’em back. Bringing ’em back. Hey, the open-toe sandals!”
He doubled down in the caption, writing: “Ladies yall betta get your man some of these.” Given Shaq’s larger-than-life personality, fans have become accustomed to his playful social media content. But the sandals were not what captured most viewers’ attention.
Fans notice something else
As the video circulated online, many viewers became fixated on O’Neal’s feet, particularly his noticeably angled big toe, which was accented by glittery red nail polish. The unexpected combination quickly turned the comments section into a comedy show.
