Who is Anja Jenko? Luka Doncic's date in Slovenia with a Playboy model adds new twist to divorce drama

L uka Doncic brought his Lakers teammates to Slovenia for a few days of golf, sightseeing and time away from basketball. One stop on that trip, however, has generated far more attention than the others.

The Los Angeles Lakers star was reportedly at an exclusive Ljubljana restaurant and nightclub on Friday night, where former Playboy model Anja Jenko was also present. The sighting has fueled interest because Doncic is already dealing with the aftermath of his split from longtime partner Anamaria Goltes .

There is an important distinction: the available reporting does not say Doncic and Jenko arrived together, spent the night as a pair or are dating. It only places them at the same venue.

That has not stopped the curiosity.

Anja Jenko already had a public profile in Slovenia

Jenko is a Slovenian model and social media personality from Ljubljana who became widely known after appearing on the cover of Playboy Magazine in 2014.

She was 34 at the time of the reports and had built an Instagram following of more than 124,000.

Her presence at the event drew notice partly because she is a recognizable figure in Slovenian celebrity circles, while Doncic remains one of the country’s most famous athletes.

Nedeljski dnevnik reported that the Friday gathering took place at a high-end venue with unusually strict privacy rules. Guests were reportedly required to place stickers over their phone cameras, while photography and video inside were prohibited.

That level of secrecy only added to the intrigue once details of the night began circulating.

Doncic was showing teammates around his home country

The nightclub visit was just one part of a four-day Lakers trip through Slovenia.

Doncic took teammates around Ljubljana , visited the court where he first played basketball, signed autographs for fans and later headed to Bled for golf and a boat trip.

The experience appeared to be a hit with the group.

“The trip was great,” Jarred Vanderbilt said. “Not gonna lie, didn’t know much about before I came here, but it’s definitely a spot I will revisit.”

He added: “I’m looking to get Slovenian passport. We’ll see. Might be part Slovenian.”

Doncic’s breakup keeps the rumor mill active

The timing of the reported sighting is what has kept the story alive.

Doncic and Goltes had been together since 2016 and share two daughters. He confirmed in March that he had made the “tough decision” to end their engagement.

The split has since moved into a legal phase, with a child support petition filed in Los Angeles County recently dismissed without prejudice. That means it can be refiled.

With that personal backdrop, any late-night appearance involving Doncic is likely to attract added scrutiny.
