Angel Reese pushes back on being sexualized over bikini photos: ‘I’m a beautiful woman, I got a nice body’

Angel Reese opened up about the way people see her away from the basketball court and why she believes being confident in her body shouldn't automatically lead to being sexualized. Reese didn't shy away from acknowledging her own confidence. “I'm a beautiful woman, I got a nice body, and I work hard for it,” she said. The WNBA star explained that if she wants to share a photo of herself wearing a bikini, she believes she should be able to do it without people immediately turning the image into something sexual. Reese also pointed to something she feels gets lost as her fame continues to grow. “I think once you reach a certain level of stardom, people forget that you're a 22-year-old girl.” For Reese, being one of the most recognizable players in women's basketball doesn't mean she wants to stop expressing herself. She simply wants to be able to do it without every photo becoming something more than what she intended.
