The Atlanta Dream arrived at State Farm Arena in Atlanta , Georgia, this Sunday, October 4, to face the New York Liberty in Game 1 of the WNBA semifinals.

Among the players arriving for such an important matchup was Angel Reese , who had already drawn plenty of attention before stepping onto the court.

What outfit did she wear?

For this game, Reese left any sportswear references behind and opted for a long-sleeve black romper with a V-neckline , featuring a fitted and structured silhouette.

The look continued with black knee-high heeled boots, while the contrast came from her handbag, an animal-print design in shades of yellow, gold and black.

Angel added gold jewelry, including several bracelets and long earrings, while wearing her black hair loose, voluminous and styled in soft waves .

But the pregame look was left behind once it was time to play.

Atlanta and New York entered the matchup with the same goal: winning the opening game of a best-of-five series . The difference came after halftime, when the Dream found the stretch that completely changed the direction of the game.

The third quarter was the turning point. Atlanta scored 32 points and held the Liberty to 15 , giving the Dream enough separation heading into the final period to keep New York at a distance.

Jordin Canada led Atlanta in scoring with 25 points, while the Dream closed out the game with a 92-82 victory .

What did Angel Reese contribute?

Reese finished her first semifinal game with 17 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three blocks in 34 minutes .

She also went 6-for-10 from the field and made an impact on both ends of the court. Her four steals and three blocks were part of a strong defensive performance that helped Atlanta contain New York during the decisive stretches.

Atlanta is already looking ahead to Game 2

The Dream and Liberty will meet again on Wednesday, October 7 , at State Farm Arena, where Atlanta will look to take a 2-0 series lead before the matchup shifts elsewhere.

New York, meanwhile, will need to respond in Game 2 to avoid falling even further behind.
