The FIBA 2026 Women's Basketball World Cup will bring together the best and most prestigious players on the planet. The leading stars of each national team will seek to lead their squads to the title.

The tournament will be held in Berlin, Germany . From September 4 to 13, the best national teams in the world will meet in the German capital to compete for the world title.

Among the names drawing the most attention are Caitlin Clark, A’ja Wilson and Angel Reese , three of the most recognizable figures in American basketball. But they will not be the only stars in the spotlight.

Completing a roster loaded with stars are Breanna Stewart, Paige Bueckers, Kelsey Plum and Napheesa Collier , rounding out a U.S. lineup packed with WNBA stars. Stewart arrives as one of the team’s main leaders and a player who already knows what it means to be a world champion; Bueckers , meanwhile, is expected to play in her first senior World Cup with the United States. Plum and Collier are also part of a generation that combines experience and talent at the highest professional level.

It should be noted that FIBA has indicated that the U.S. list includes 12 players, although it does not necessarily yet represent the final roster that will compete in the tournament.

The United States will not be the only national team with big names: Spain, Australia, Belgium, France, Japan, Germany, Italy, China, Turkey and the rest of the 16 participants complete a World Cup that will feature representation from four continents.

In addition to the players already included, there are also, for example, Ezi Magbegor and Sami Whitcomb with Australia, Emma Meesseman and Julie Vanloo with Belgium, and Alba Torrens and María Conde with Spain.

The tournament will be divided into four groups. Spain, Japan, Germany, and Mali make up Group A; France, Hungary, Korea, and Nigeria will be in Group B; Belgium, Australia, Puerto Rico, and Turkey will play in Group C; while the United States, Italy, China, and the Czech Republic were placed in Group D.

With the World Cup expanded from 12 to 16 teams, Berlin is preparing to host an even more open competition with an unprecedented number of stars.
