Caitlin Clark’s first signature sneaker with Nike has barely reached stores, yet the next chapter is already waiting in the wings. The Caitlin 1 made its global retail debut on October 1, giving fans the first chance to buy the shoe built around the Indiana Fever guard’s explosive style and long-range shooting.

Now Nike is preparing to keep that momentum rolling with the Caitlin 1 “Midnight Fever.” Scheduled for October 14, the new colorway brings a Hot Punch and Neo Pink palette to Clark’s debut signature model.

Its Opticast upper fades with vibrant pink tones, giving the sneaker one of its most eye-catching appearances yet.

The release also has a personal connection to one of Clark’s most memorable achievements during her rookie season. The colorway celebrates her 22nd game in the WNBA, when she became the first rookie in league history to record a triple-double.

Clark finished that July 6, 2024, matchup against the New York Liberty with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists, while also becoming the first player in Fever history to post a triple-double.

The number 22 has an obvious connection to Clark , who wears the same number, making the inspiration behind the sneaker particularly fitting as it turns a significant statistical milestone from her first professional season into a design detail that fans can carry onto the court.

A signature launch with serious momentum

The attention surrounding the “Midnight Fever” is understandable after the Caitlin 1’s opening reception. Nike describes the model as its first signature shoe for Clark , combining an Air Zoom Turbo unit, Cushlon foam and a lightweight Opticast upper to support quick movement and responsiveness.

Clark was also closely involved in the design process, with personal touches including her CC logo, multiple references to 22 and double Swooshes.

Nike has positioned the launch as a major moment for its women’s basketball business, too. Company executives have described the Caitlin 1 as the largest women’s signature shoe launch in Nike’s history, with the initial rollout reaching 5,000 retail doors worldwide.

That distribution is roughly twice the average footprint for a Nike signature basketball shoe, highlighting the level of confidence surrounding Clark’s brand.

The timing is notable as Nike continues expanding its women’s basketball roster. Clark now sits alongside fellow WNBA stars A’ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu , giving the company several prominent signature athletes as interest in the women’s game continues to grow.

After the attention surrounding the original Caitlin 1 launch, another strong demand surge would hardly be surprising. Nike has already shown it believes Clark can move the needle, and this vibrant follow-up gives the company another opportunity to turn her on-court impact into one of basketball’s most talked-about stories.
