T he Nike Caitlin 1 will not officially arrive in stores until October 1, but Caitlin Clark’s first signature shoe is already becoming difficult to miss.

Her Indiana Fever teammates received pairs before the official retail launch, and several have already worn them during practice. Their excitement and joy while opening the boxes also gave Nike something far more valuable than a traditional advertisement: authentic promotion from the players who share a locker room with Caitlin.

Nike is creating more than one Caitlin Clark shoe

Nike has prepared six colorways for the final months of 2026 : Caitlin Blue, Warning Code, Midnight Fever, Cave Stone, Ice Cold and Purple Venom. Each design connects with a different aspect of Clark’s personality, career or playing style.

Another version, the Friendship Bracelet, was inspired by Taylor Swift and the bracelet-exchanging tradition associated with her Eras Tour. That connection has allowed the Caitlin 1 to transcend basketball and attract attention from fashion outlets, sneaker collectors and Swift fans known as Swifties.

The $140 shoe features Nike’s Opticast upper, an Air Zoom Turbo unit and full-length Cushlon cushioning. It was designed around Clark’s quick first step, step-back separation and fast shooting release. It also includes personal details such as her initials, No. 22 and hidden motivational messages.

There are still no verified public sales figures because the worldwide launch has not yet taken place. That will be the true commercial test, but Nike has already achieved something important: Caitlin Clark’s first signature shoe is everywhere before most fans have even had an opportunity to buy it.
