Caitlin Clark’s Nike Caitlin 1 launch gives one of her favorite bakeries a surprising new identity
A familiar Indianapolis stop and an unusual challenge overseas reveal how fans are joining a milestone that arrives on a pivotal day for Clark

Open the door, step inside, and a familiar Indianapolis bakery has become part of Caitlin Clark’s story. Long’s Bakery temporarily changed its identity to “Caitlin’s Extraordinary Treats” on October 1, celebrating the global release of the Indiana Fever star’s first signature Nike shoe.
Thousands of miles away, another celebration asks fans to pick up a basketball. Near Nike Fort in the Philippines, the “Caitlin 1 Crane Challenge” features a hoop suspended from a crane. The contrast makes the two clips worth watching together: one brings viewers into a neighborhood business transformed for Clark, while the other invites them to attempt an extraordinary shot of their own.

The bakery walkthrough captures the transformation through the entrance, decorations and displays. For a day, the shop becomes a place where supporters can share in a milestone usually associated with sneaker stores and basketball courts. Local coverage documented Long’s involvement in the launch celebration.
There is a personal connection behind the choice. Long’s Bakery is one of Clark’s favorite spots , making it a fitting place to celebrate a player who has brought new attention to basketball in Indianapolis.
The Philippine activation offers a more physical invitation to participate. Park Access announced the crane challenge at the BHS Activity Center’s Bear Area outside Nike Fort, in Bonifacio Global City, for October 1–4, from 2–6 p.m. daily. Its promotional message challenges visitors to make the shot—a fitting theme for a player known for attempting baskets well beyond the three-point line.
The shoe connecting those celebrations is the Nike Caitlin 1 , which launches globally on October 1 through Nike’s digital platforms and select retailers. Nike lists its North American price at $140 . The release also includes an 18-piece apparel collection, expanding Clark’s debut beyond footwear.
According to Nike, the design centers on the way Clark creates space and changes pace. It combines an Opticast upper with forefoot Air Zoom Turbo cushioning and full-length Cushlon foam. Details incorporating “CC” and “22” connect the performance shoe to her initials and jersey number.
But the celebrations arrive with unfinished business on the court. The Fever kept their season alive with a 99-89 victory over the Aces on September 29. Clark finished with 27 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds, helping Indiana force a third game after its opening defeat.
That deciding first-round game is scheduled for October 1 in Las Vegas. With the best-of-three series tied 1-1, the winner advances to the semifinals. Clark’s global shoe launch and Indiana’s fight to continue its postseason therefore fall on the same day.
The Nike Caitlin 1 launch has given fans plenty to celebrate. Now Clark has a chance to make the day even sweeter on the court. With the series tied 1-1, Indiana faces A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces in a winner-take-all Game 3 tonight, October 1, at Michelob ULTRA Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET 6 p.m. local time with U.S. coverage on USA Network and CNBC. A victory would send the Fever into the semifinals and keep their championship hopes alive.
