Caitlin Clark gave Las Vegas plenty to worry about with five three-pointers and 27 points. But her shooting told only part of the story. Every possession also carried the possibility of a pass that would put another Fever player in position to score, and Clark finished with 15 assists in Indiana’s 99-89 Game 2 victory .

That combination made her performance so difficult to contain. Clark shot 50 percent from the field while creating opportunities for teammates , helping Indiana tie the first-round playoff series at 1-1. The Fever’s official highlights celebrated a night in which their point guard could finish an attack herself or deliver the ball to someone else.

Clark’s passing made the problem bigger for Las Vegas

Aliyah Boston scored 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting and added five assists of her own. Kelsey Mitchell contributed 26 points, including three three-pointers on four attempts. Together with Clark, they accounted for 75 of Indiana’s 99 points. Clark’s 15 assists reflected her role in an offense that found production beyond her own shot.

Her individual scoring remained a threat throughout the game. Clark made nine of 18 field-goal attempts, went five-for-11 from beyond the arc and converted all four free throws . She also collected seven rebounds, contributing across several areas rather than relying entirely on a hot shooting night.

Indiana needed that breadth after a difficult start. Las Vegas led 26-18 at the end of the first quarter, but the Fever responded with a 30-17 second period to enter halftime ahead 48-43. They extended the advantage by winning the third quarter 24-17, building a 72-60 lead before the final period.

The Aces had their own offensive weapons. Jackie Young finished with 31 points, four three-pointers and a perfect 13-for-13 performance at the foul line. A’ja Wilson added 22 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. Their production kept Las Vegas competitive, but Indiana had enough scoring across its leading trio to secure the win.

Clark’s performance was not flawless. She committed five turnovers and finished with six personal fouls . Yet those complications did not erase the influence of her shooting and distribution. Lexie Hull added seven rebounds, while Makayla Timpson and Raven Johnson supplied six points apiece in support.

The series now heads back to Las Vegas for the deciding game, with a clear reminder of the challenge Clark presents. Her range demands attention, but her passing makes that attention costly when Indiana converts its opportunities. On Tuesday, 27 points were only the beginning of her impact.
