Dan Campbell explains how the Lions will honor Jack Campbell
The Detroit Lions defeated the Minnesota Vikings 19-15 on Sunday, but the victory took a back seat following Jack Campbell ’s frightening injury. Now, as the team prepares to face the Miami Dolphins , the linebacker remains a constant source of motivation in the locker room.
Head coach D an Campbell said on Wednesday that the best way to honor his player will be to compete with the same intensity and commitment that Jack always showed on the field.
"I know the only way to really honor Jack, and what he really wants, is to make sure that we're locked in and ready to go. Because otherwise, what just came about, then we're throwing it away, in a sense. I think we owe it to him. We owe it to all of ourselves to make sure we're locked in and we make the most of this," Dan Campbell told reporters.
Jack Campbell suffered the injury while making a tackle in the fourth quarter of the game against Minnesota . After the impact, he remained motionless on the field, prompting medical personnel to rush in, stabilize him, and carefully remove him from the field for specialized care.
