Kevin Durant's brother becomes an Angel Reese hater and mocks her poor shooting: “Angela Rodman”
Durant mocks Reese after the Atlanta forward struggles around the basket

Angel Reese’s struggles around the basket have once again made her the target of social-media trolling, this time from Kevin Durant’s brother, Tony Durant.
The Atlanta Dream forward endured a frustrating shooting performance during her team’s 101-83 loss to the Portland Fire on Friday. Reese finished with 16 points, 16 rebounds and six assists, but she shot just 5-for-14 from the field and missed nine layup attempts.
Following the game, an Instagram account shared a compilation of Reese’s missed layups from the contest. Tony Durant entered the comments and took a sarcastic shot at the WNBA star by comparing her to Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman.
“ Angela Rodman ,” Durant wrote.
The comment was clearly a reference to Rodman’s reputation as an exceptional rebounder who wasn’t known for his scoring or shooting. The comparison also continues Durant’s recent habit of poking fun at Reese’s offensive struggles.
Earlier in August, Durant mocked Reese after she missed a potential game-winning layup during the final seconds of regulation against the Indiana Fever. Atlanta ultimately lost that contest 95-91 in overtime.
Durant had also previously criticized Reese over comments she made about not having a Barbie doll that looked like her while she was growing up, adding another layer to their ongoing social-media back-and-forth.
Reese’s rebounding numbers remain remarkable
Although Reese’s shooting has been inconsistent, her overall production has remained significant for Atlanta. Since entering the WNBA in 2024, she’s quickly established herself as one of the league’s premier rebounders.
Reese won consecutive rebounding titles during her first two WNBA seasons and has continued to lead the league on the glass this year. Her ability to dominate possessions and create second-chance opportunities remains one of the Dream’s biggest strengths.
She also matched a WNBA single-season record by recording her 28th double-double against Portland, finishing with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Reese is averaging 16.1 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 43.5% from the field.
There was better news for Reese regarding another incident from Friday’s loss. The WNBA rescinded the technical foul she received after getting tangled up with Portland guard Carla Leite while the two players battled for rebounding position.
The reversal means Reese remains at seven technical fouls this season. Players who reach eight technicals during the regular season receive an automatic one-game suspension and a $1,500 fine, so the decision means Reese won’t miss Atlanta’s upcoming matchup with the Minnesota Lynx.
Atlanta coach Karl Smesko had questioned the original call, saying afterward that, from his perspective, the incident didn’t appear worthy of a technical foul.
