New angles capture Caitlin Clark’s tense reaction during rough night for Stephanie White and the Fever

New angles captured Caitlin Clark’s tense reaction as a disastrous start put the Indiana Fever in a hole they could never escape.

With less than a minute remaining in the first quarter, Indiana trailed the Washington Mystics 31-17. Clark appeared to turn toward head coach Stephanie White and angrily shout from the court, although the arena audio did not make her exact words clear.

The Fever went on to lose 93-77 after allowing 34 points in the opening quarter. Clark finished with 25 points and five assists, but later admitted Indiana had been sloppy and described the team’s defense as “pitiful.” With the playoffs approaching, the heated moment showed just how frustrating the performance was for everyone involved.
