Paige Bueckers faces officer’s Taser while trying to intervene in Arike Ogunbowale’s arrest

Newly released bodycam footage shows the frightening moment Paige Bueckers approached officers while her Dallas Wings teammate Arike Ogunbowale was being arrested outside a Miami nightclub.

As Bueckers attempted to intervene, an officer raised a Taser in her direction and ordered her to step away. The WNBA star quickly backed off and was neither detained nor charged.

The incident occurred on March 5, 2026, after Ogunbowale and other players celebrated Mist BC’s Unrivaled championship at Club E11EVEN. Ogunbowale was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge after allegedly punching a man.

The charge against Ogunbowale was dismissed on May 6. Although the arrest happened months ago, the newly released footage reveals for the first time how close Bueckers came to becoming directly involved in the tense confrontation.
