Paige Bueckers steals Team USA’s dance video with hilariously awkward twerking attempt

Team USA may be preparing for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, but Angel Reese and several of her teammates still found time to have some fun before the competition begins.

Wearing their USA jerseys, the players took turns dancing and twerking for the camera. Everything appeared to be going smoothly until Paige Bueckers decided to join in and turned the video into pure comedy.

The Dallas Wings star went upside down against a wall and gave twerking her best shot, but the movement simply wasn’t there. Her awkward attempt looked nothing like those of her teammates, and that was exactly what made it so funny.

Bueckers deserves credit for fully committing to the moment even when it became obvious that twerking might not be one of her many talents. On the basketball court, she can make almost anything look easy. This time, however, her body refused to cooperate.

The lighthearted video offered a glimpse of the chemistry inside Team USA before its World Cup opener against China on September 4.
