Sophie Cunningham has her sights set on Victoria"s Secret after seeing Angel Reese
The Indiana Fever player revealed one of her biggest goals off the court.
Sophie Cunningham has had no problem showing her more personal side outside of basketball, and now the Indiana Fever player revealed one of the goals she would like to achieve in the future: to walk in the Victoria"s Secret fashion show someday.
Cunningham spoke about the subject during an episode of her podcast "No Hesitation" alongside Drew Hanlen, while they commented on the 2026 Victoria"s Secret Fashion Show. The WNBA player admitted that she is a big fan of the event and made it clear how excited she is about the possibility of being part of it someday.
Angel Reese has already paved the way for WNBA stars
“I think that’s my goal, to be a Victoria"s Secret angel someday,” Cunningham said during the conversation. She even joked about the possibility of sharing that experience with Christine, Hanlen’s wife: “It would be so much fun”.
The idea of seeing a WNBA star on that runway no longer seems strange. Angel Reese made history in 2025 by becoming the first professional athlete to walk in the Victoria"s Secret Fashion Show, opening an unprecedented door for league players.
Reese later strengthened her connection with the brand by also taking part in an additional campaign, consolidating a presence that transcended the courts and brought her image into the world of fashion.
Cunningham also spoke about some of the models she admires most. Among them, she especially mentioned Candice Swanepoel, as well as figures such as Gigi and Bella Hadid, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio.
The world of modeling is not entirely unfamiliar to Cunningham either. The player made her debut in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in 2026, an experience that she herself had previously pointed out as one of the personal goals she wanted to achieve.
The 30-year-old American has significantly increased her exposure since arriving at Indiana Fever , combining her WNBA career with her podcast, commercial deals, and fashion-related appearances.
Participating in an event for Victoria"s Secret remains only an aspiration for Cunningham, and there is no announced agreement between the player and the brand. Meanwhile, her sporting future will also be one of the topics to follow during the WNBA offseason.
