Sophie Cunningham drew attention again off the WNBA courts after revealing, with a great sense of humor, who her “dream man” would be. The player’s confession surprised her followers because it was a renowned country music star who is 37 years older than her.

During a conversation on the podcast Like a Farmer, Cunningham spoke openly about her personal and musical tastes. In the middle of the conversation, the name of Alan Jackson, one of the most recognized artists in American country music, came up.

A statement that left everyone surprised

Cunningham made it clear that Alan Jackson holds a special place among her favorites and explained, with a laugh, the conditions he would have to meet to become her “ideal man.”

One of the points that has generated the most controversy is that the basketball player is currently 30 years old and the musician 67, making her 37 years younger. The age difference sparked controversy, and it also drew attention that instead of choosing a sports star or a celebrity from her generation, she went for one of the great icons of country music.

Cunningham explained that her particular “dream man” would have to be younger and, above all, single.

The last part is especially curious because Jackson has been married to Denise Jackson for decades. The couple married in 1979 and have remained together throughout much of the renowned country singer's career.

This confession revealed a different side of the Indiana Fever player, who also mentioned that she would not mind dating a guy shorter than her because it would make her feel like " she is the man" in the relationship. She also said that she would look for the man to lead the household.

The conversation ended with one of Cunningham 's most striking confessions. When talking about her musical tastes, the basketball player did not hesitate to highlight Jackson and explain why the singer would fit, under certain circumstances, into her particular definition of the ideal man.

Cunningham's love for country and Alan Jackson is no coincidence, her time in Missouri also helped strengthen her connection to the musical style the singer represents.

' "I know I'm missing out on so much... Alan Jackson" , she said.'

My God, Alan Jackson. If he were younger, weren't married and had children... he's everyone's dream guy.

For now, it all remains a fun confession from Cunningham and yet another example of her carefree personality. The singer, for his part, remains happily involved with Denise, while the player's curious choice continues to be a talking point among fans.
