Sydney Taylor sends Chicago into pandemonium with another historic game-winner

Roberto Ortega147 palabras

Sydney Taylor has done it again and this time the Chicago Sky rookie made WNBA history in the process.

With the game tied and only seconds remaining against the Golden State Valkyries, Taylor created separation with a crossover and buried a three-pointer with just 0.6 seconds left, giving Chicago a dramatic 73-70 victory.

Then came the celebration. Taylor was immediately surrounded by her teammates as the Sky bench emptied and Wintrust Arena erupted around them. The rookie finished with 14 points and four three-pointers, but none mattered more than the last one.

It was also familiar territory. Taylor had already beaten the Las Vegas Aces with a three-pointer with less than a second remaining earlier this month. Now she is the first rookie in WNBA history to make multiple game-winners with fewer than five seconds left, an extraordinary clutch résumé for a player in her first season.
