West Wilson comes under fire following Sophie Cunningham's controversial comment about transgender athletes on podcast
The Fever guard’s show has gone weeks without a new episode during the biggest controversy of her season

Sophie Cunningham has spent the past several weeks at the center of one of the WNBA ’s loudest off-court debates, yet the podcast built around her outspoken personality has disappeared at exactly the moment many listeners might have expected it to become more active.
Show Me Something, the Indiana Fever guard’s podcast with longtime friend and reality television personality West Wilson , hasn't released a new episode since July 21. That silence has stood out because Cunningham has barely vanished from public view.
She continued to appear on USA Network’s WNBA coverage, remained active on social media and posted sponsored content while discussion of her comments about transgender athletes has spread across television, podcasts and online platforms.
Wilson complicated that conversation further when he publicly disagreed with Cunningham ’s position.
He called transgender women competing in women’s sports a “borderline nonexistent issue” and argued that the subject is amplified in ways that distract from what he described as “actual harmful sh*t,” including rising living costs.
A podcast built on strong opinions
That disagreement was especially notable because Show Me Something had quickly established itself as a place where Cunningham was willing to speak openly about the league.
She used early episodes to discuss officiating, league decisions and the treatment of Fever teammate Caitlin Clark , helping give the show a sharper identity than a traditional athlete interview podcast.
Then the biggest controversy of Cunningham ’s season arrived, and the show went quiet. There has been no public explanation for the hiatus.
The silence has only become more conspicuous because Cunningham has continued fulfilling other media obligations.
Wilson , meanwhile, has also been navigating a separate controversy after his role on Bravo’s Summer House ended amid fallout from a highly publicized romantic situation involving his ex-girlfriend’s best friend.
That would ordinarily give two opinionated podcast hosts plenty to discuss. Instead, listeners have been left waiting.
Cunningham shifts attention back toward family
Cunningham has used the WNBA’s current break during the FIBA Women’s World Cup to step away from some of the noise and spend time with family in Missouri.
She recently shared a lighthearted update about eating locally raised ground chuck, writing: “I just ate ground chuck that one of our family friends raised, and boyyy was it yummy and fresh!”
The break could also help her basketball-wise. Cunningham is averaging 8.3 points this season while shooting 43.4 percent from three, but her numbers have dipped over her last seven games to 5.0 points per game on 31.8 percent shooting from deep.
Indiana sits at 26-14 with six games remaining as it prepares for the postseason. Cunningham has made clear that she would prefer the off-court attention to settle down so she can focus on basketball.
Her podcast has certainly become quieter. The unanswered question is whether that silence is temporary or whether Cunningham and Wilson ’s public disagreement changed the future of Show Me Something altogether.
