Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 champion guided his spectacular red Ferrari F40 through the narrow streets of Maranello as people began realizing who was behind the wheel.

At one point, a motorcyclist pulled alongside the Ferrari and greeted Hamilton.

The British driver quickly returned the gesture before continuing along the small two-way road, carefully sharing the pavement with approaching traffic while pedestrians and fans raised their phones to record him.

The Ferrari he was driving had reportedly spent more than 30 years sitting untouched inside a garage, covered in dust, dirt and even dead insects.

After finding it, Hamilton took the F40 to Maranello, where Ferrari’s master engineers and mechanics spent weeks bringing it back to life.

Now, the car Hamilton dreamed about as a child was finally moving through the birthplace of Ferrari with him behind the wheel.

He could not unleash its extraordinary speed on those crowded streets, but the sound, the unmistakable shape and the reactions of everyone watching made the moment special enough.
