An end to the war between Mbappé and PSG
The French courts dismiss the complaint filed by the Whites' No. 10 against the Parisian club for moral harassment, considering that there was insufficient evidence to proceed

French justice has dismissed the complaint that Kylian Mbappé filed against PSG for alleged psychological harassment during his final spell at the club . The investigation, opened after the footballer’s lawyers went to court, was ultimately closed in May due to insufficient evidence and after the player himself withdrew the complaint, according to French media.
"The origin of the case dates back to the summer of 2023, when Mbappé was left out of PSG's first team after communicating his decision not to renew his contract . The club believed that the player had to renew or leave the club in exchange for a significant amount of money before his contractual link ended and he could leave on a free transfer. For several weeks, Mbappé remained on the sidelines of the first team . Finally, he was reintegrated into the group and was able to compete again under Luis Enrique , who was then facing his first season in charge of the team.
A legal battle on several fronts
The sporting episode also ended up turning into a legal battle. After leaving PSG at the end of that season to join Real Madrid, the club withheld part of the salary and bonuses due to the player . PSG maintained that those amounts were linked to a verbal agreement reached between Mbappé and the club’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi , which would have allowed his return to the first team.
The player rejected that interpretation and claimed the outstanding amounts . In May 2025, he launched a legal offensive on several fronts, including the complaint for moral harassment related to his exclusion from the team. However, that complaint was later withdrawn by the footballer himself . The investigation continued for a time, but the investigating judges ultimately dismissed it due to the impossibility of moving forward with proceedings that no longer had the support of the complainant and because of the lack of sufficient evidence.
61 million euros and the end of the dispute
The other major legal front, the one related to the sums of money that PSG had withheld, ended with a ruling in Mbappé's favor. A Labor Court ordered the Parisian club to pay him 61 million euros . PSG decided not to appeal that ruling, so the decision became final. With the dismissal of the complaint for moral harassment, the legal disputes between Mbappé and PSG are now closed .
