It's been a fantastic past couple of years for Promise David at both club and international levels. After scoring 41 goals in 82 appearances for Union Saint-Gilloise , David earned a move to Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion this August.

That came right after he played a big role for Canada at the 2026 FIFA World Cup . David scored a goal against Switzerland in the group stage. The 25-year-old striker is on international duty again this week, but he went through an uncomfortable situation during training.

Promise David was the victim of an untimely bee sting

While being interviewed by the media, David was hounded by a bee that he chose to shoo away. The bee clearly didn't like that, proceeding to sting David, who exclaimed, " OH F**K! " David was surprised by how much it hurt, then said it was the first time he's ever been stung by a bee.

The way he expressed himself had several fans calling out his undeniable accent, which is prevalent in the Toronto area. David is from Brampton , which is very close to Toronto.

" Ehhhh!!! Yeah bros a certified a Toronto man "

" F’n eh! Watch out fer them bees bud! "

" Adds the eh at the end! "

David is quickly becoming a fan favorite among Canadians.
