Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi playing together on the same team?
Carlos Tévez is working to organize a match at La Bombonera at the end of the year

One of football's "unfinished business" is to see Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi sharing a team . The two most important figures in the sport in the 21st Century and practically in the entire history of this sport are in the final years of their careers after two decades of shining... and now one person wants to bring them together to "close the circle".
That person is Carlos Tévez, a former Argentine footballer who retired in 2022 and who was left with the lingering regret of not having had a farewell match at La Bombonera. Now, "El Apache" seems to have revived the idea of organizing it at the end of 2026 and, according to Infobae, already has the approval of Juan Román Riquelme to do it. And at that event, which would be on December 20, Messi and Cristiano would be there... playing for the same team.
I’m going to go get Cristiano myself
A few weeks ago, the former footballer already said on the Argentine streaming channel "OLGA" that he was preparing the event and gave some details. "It would be very nice, I have to talk to Román to do it at the end of the year ," he began by saying before revealing some of the names who would be there and with whom he has shared a team.
"Goalkeepers, Buffon and Van der Sar ; defenders Ferdinand, Vidic, Chiellini, Bonucci; midfielders Pirlo, Scholes, Riquelme ...", he explained to the panelists, who described it as "the best friendly match in history" before referring to the issue of Cristiano and Messi. " We're bringing them together" , Tévez said emphatically. " I'll go get Cristiano myself, and the little guy -referring to Messi- too" , he added.
Carlos Tévez played 47 matches with Messi for the Argentina national team and a total of 80 matches with Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United. Now he wants to bring them together to achieve a unique image that could last for eternity.
