Greatest nutmeg ever? Soccer player sends the ball through four players with one touch
The ball found a path that should not have existed, but the reaction afterward made the moment even better
A t first, nothing seems unusual . Four soccer players are walking together across the field when a ball suddenly rolls toward them. It slips between the legs of the first player, then the second, the third and finally the fourth. One touch. Four players. Four nutmegs.
The player responsible was Emma Regan. The Denver Summit FC midfielder appeared to be making a simple pass when the ball found four perfectly aligned gaps between her teammates. The first players continued walking without realizing what had happened, but Regan saw everything.
Her reaction completed the moment. Regan stared in disbelief before dropping into a crouch and laughing at what she had just done. The short video published by Denver Summit FC quickly surpassed seven million views.
Who is the player behind the impossible touch?
Regan is a 26-year-old Canadian international who wears No. 8 for Denver Summit FC. The midfielder joined the club before its inaugural 2026 season and signed a contract through 2028 with an option for 2029. Denver is the NWSL’s 16th franchise, while the league itself has been operating since 2013.
Before arriving in Denver, Regan captained AFC Toronto and enjoyed a remarkable 2025 season. She was named the Northern Super League’s Midfielder of the Year, made its Team of the Season and won AFC Toronto’s Player of the Year award. She has also represented Canada at several youth levels and scored her first goal for the senior national team against Costa Rica in 2025.
A ball has passed through four players’ legs before. In 2021, Japan’s Takefusa Kubo scored against Jamaica after his shot traveled through four opponents before reaching the net, a moment Olympics.com described as a four-player nutmeg.
Kubo’s ended in a goal during a game; Regan’s happened in a relaxed moment between teammates. Whether hers was truly the greatest nutmeg ever can be debated. Finding four pairs of legs perfectly aligned was extraordinary. Capturing her reaction made it unforgettable.
