Jorge Jesus "will explain everything after the last match" following Cristiano's "departure"

'Cristiano Ronaldo's escape has caused such a rift in Portugal that the match against Denmark has taken a back seat. Everyone is eagerly waiting to find out what Jorge Jesus will say at the press conference after the match. Minutes before the ball got rolling, however, he gave a "flash" interview to "whet the appetite".'

"I will explain everything after the last match. I have been in football for many years and I know I did nothing that should have caused things to be different," he said. "After the match against Norway , we will talk about this issue. I will not hide from it or run away from it".

Jorge Jesus , therefore, urged the media to put the matter aside. At least until he had finished a first international break that was tremendously turbulent at the start of his tenure as the new Portugal manager. However, it will be impossible for the press conference not to revolve solely and exclusively around the figure of Cristiano .

The Portuguese coach, however, wanted to tone down the tense atmosphere that has arisen in recent hours after he missed Tuesday's training session and decided to head to Madrid as a result of what he heard at yesterday's press conference.
