Lamine Yamal spoke about Julián Álvarez and made it clear how he sees Barcelona. Would he have liked to play with him?
The footballer was asked about the failed signing of the Argentine and, although he praised the forward, he gave a clear answer.
Julián Álvarez was the one who generated the most buzz around Barcelona during the transfer market.
The Argentine forward appeared as a possibility to strengthen the Blaugrana team, but the deal ultimately did not go through and the attacker did not end up arriving at the Catalan club.
Lamine's response about Julián Álvarez
The blaugrana player was awarded as the best footballer of last season at the AFE Gala. The FC Barcelona star was chosen by his fellow professionals as the best player of the previous campaign.
His presence lit up the party with flashes, and he spoke to the media before entering the stalls of Florida Park.
“Right now we’re doing very well and it shows. We’re not lacking goals” , Lamine replied when he was asked about the Argentine striker. The young Barça footballer did not hesitate to praise him, although he immediately made his stance on the current squad clear.
“Obviously he is a great player, but I am very happy with the squad we have,” added the Barça player during the AFE Awards Gala, where he received recognition as the best LaLiga player chosen by his teammates.
“We want to win everything”
' Lamine was also asked about other debates surrounding the attacking power of Barcelona and Real Madrid , but he avoided making direct comparisons between the attacks of both teams. The priority for him and his team is "Win Everything" . The phrase that sums up the ambition for this season.'
In the end, Julián Álvarez will remain one of the names that shaped Barcelona’s transfer market. But if there was one thing Lamine Yamal made clear when speaking about the Argentine, it is that, although he recognizes his enormous quality, he fully trusts the players he already has around him.
