Lionel Messi unlocked another level of casual brilliance during Inter Miami’s latest match.
While exchanging words with the opposing coach near the sideline, Messi continued controlling the ball without even appearing to look at the defender approaching him. Then, almost effortlessly, he slipped the ball directly through the player’s legs and continued the play as if nothing had happened.
The ridiculous nutmeg came during Inter Miami’s 2-0 Campeones Cup victory over Cruz Azul, a match in which Messi also scored his 100th goal for the club. Apparently, even arguing with a coach is not enough to distract him from embarrassing a defender.
