With applause ringing out around him, a security guard faces the stands while Lionel Messi’s farewell unfolds on the field. He continues watching the crowd, but his expression reveals how emotional the moment has become.
The contrast makes the clip especially moving: around him, fans openly celebrate and applaud; he remains at his post, carrying out his duties with tears on his face.
