MLS fines Messi for his altercation with a Philadelphia Union player
The sanction with Quinn Sullivan is for an "undisclosed" amount.

MLS announced this Friday that it fined Leo Messi for his recent altercation with Quinn Sullivan , a player for Philadelphia Union , in the latest round of the U.S. league.
"The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined Inter Miami CF forward Lionel Messi an undisclosed amount for violating the League's policy regarding hands to an opponent's face/head/neck in the 101st+ minute of Miami's match against the Philadelphia Union on August 19," the league reported.
In the 2-2 draw between Inter Miami and Philadelphia, Messi confronted Sullivan and brought a hand toward his head, before the referee arrived to restore order.
Messi scored in that match the goal that made it 2-1 at the time, his first since the death of his father, Jorge Messi , to whom he dedicated the goal.
