Huge blast from Fred against Ten Hag: "He was a piece of shit"'
The Brazilian midfielder criticized the Dutch coach's human treatment during his time at United, as well as his relationship with Cristiano
Brazilian Fred , who played under Erik ten Hag at Manchester United before leaving for Fenerbahçe, had no qualms about openly sharing his opinion of the Dutchman during his spell in charge of the "red devils".
'Although the midfielder did not hesitate to acknowledge the coach's tactical preparation, his criticism of the management of personal relationships within the team was blunt: " Ten Hag was tactically very good, but with the group he was a piece of shit".'
'According to Fred , the coach's frictions with members of the squad were constant and ended up souring the atmosphere in the team. "He argued with everyone. He argued with me, with Cristiano , with Casemiro , with Rashford . He wouldn't play me and sometimes the situation was stressful," the footballer told "Charla Podcast".'
'Not only that. The Brazil international also accused the coach of favoring certain footballers because of their origin: "Only his Dutch players played. He was a coach of little cliques. But, tactically, one of the best I have worked with".'
'During the interview, Fred also revealed the trigger for the final breakdown between Ten Hag and Cristiano Ronald o: "He wanted the team to run, but Cristiano was already older. He took him out of the starting eleven and that caused a falling-out. Before a match, Ten Hag said that Ronaldo was going to leave. Fine, there was nothing we could do. After the match, when the plane landed, the club’s communications staff turned off airplane mode and saw that he had given that interview in which he heavily criticized the club".'
