Mastantuono's "hat-trick" for Fiorentina, with two goals in just 1 minute and 36 seconds!
The player on loan from Real Madrid makes a spectacular debut as a goalscorer in Italy
Incredible goalscoring debut by Franco Mastantuono (three goals!) as a Fiorentina player, with the team leading 2-4 in Venice on matchday four of Serie A.
The forward on loan from Real Madrid was having a good match, but his breakout came in the 29th and 30th minutes" (specifically, he scored both goals in one minute and 36 seconds). In those two minutes, "Mastan" collected two balls on the right side of the Florentine attack and with two similar left-footed strikes from outside the box beat the Venezia goalkeeper, to everyone's astonishment, as they meant the comeback from the home side's opening goal.
In the second half, Franco produced a fine individual move in the six-yard box to get past the Venezia goalkeeper and make it 1-4 on the scoreboard at that point. It was the 84th minute" and Mastantuno's third, and he was substituted shortly afterwards, in the 88th minute of play.
It is Mastantuono's goalscoring debut in his fourth league match as a Fiorentina player and in the debut of the team's new coach, Paolo Vanoli, following the dismissal of Grosso, who had managed zero points in the first three league matches.
