"Stop referee harassment now". This is how Atlético reacted to Mourinho's complaints after Sunday's derby, in which the Portuguese coach put the focus on the refereeing to justify Madrid's defeat.

With a printer producing the images that the Portuguese coach himself showed at the press conference, the Metropolitano club begins to respond to Madrid supporters about what they believe are disproportionate complaints.

“If they leave us alone, calm, and let us compete on equal terms, there is still a long way to go. I don’t want to go too far and say that this is something set up. I don’t want to think about this ,” commented the Madrid coach in the same room at the Metropolitano minutes after a derby that ended 2-1 for Simeone’s side.

At Atlético they understand that the complaints are disproportionate in relation to what happened in the derby . And, in particular, that Madrid is not the most suitable club to talk about refereeing help. There are several incidents from previous derbies that, they believe at the Metropolitano, harmed them.

"The red-and-whites have let 24 hours pass to celebrate the victory over Madrid, but they understand that what happened with Mourinho's statements questioning the referee's honesty n they cannot overlook.
