Barcelona already has a signing for El Clásico: it makes Tyler, the Creator's arrival official
The club announces the collaboration with the rapper and his brand GOLF WANG as part of its partnership with Spotify and takes over from Olivia Rodrigo

Barcelona already has a musical star for the next Clásico . Tyler, the Creator will be the new face of the campaign the blaugrana club is preparing together with Spotify for the match against Real Madrid . "Welcome to the team, Tyler, The Creator," the club posted on its social media alongside a photograph of the American wearing Barça's colors.
The announcement also includes GOLF WANG , the artist's clothing brand, and confirms a choice that had been previously reported by RAC1 . The collaboration will have its big showcase next October 25 at Spotify Camp Nou , at 9:00 p.m., the kickoff time announced by Barcelona for hosting Real Madrid.
Football, music, and fashion come together once again around one of the most high-profile matches on the calendar. The blaugrana jersey has become one of the central pieces of the strategy designed together with Spotify, with a different leading figure at certain major occasions and a window that allows the club to reach audiences that go beyond football.
Tyler will be the ninth artist to take part in this initiative, launched with Drake in 2022. Then came Rosalía , The Rolling Stones , Karol G , Coldplay , Travis Scott , Ed Sheeran , and Olivia Rodrigo . Now comes a creator whose influence also extends to design, fashion, and urban culture .
His selection also revives the controversies that accompanied the early years of his career. Tyler Gregory Okonma , his real name, rose to fame as one of the driving forces behind the collective Odd Future . The lyrics from that period drew criticism for homophobic slurs and references to violence against women.
A past with varied episodes
The controversy had consequences in 2015, when the British Government barred him from entering the United Kingdom because of the content of his songs. The measure affected the performances he had planned in the country and placed his case within the debate over the limits of artistic provocation . The ban had already been lifted when he returned to London in 2019, so that prohibition remained linked to an earlier stage of his career.
Tyler now lands in the Clásico showcase with all that journey behind him. Barcelona and Spotify add to their collection of collaborations an artist with a visual identity of his own and a brand, GOLF WANG , that expands the proposal beyond music. The upcoming Barça-Madrid will also bear his signature.
