'Best Club in the World': Cucurella delivers emotional message at official Real Madrid presentation
Welcome ceremony for the world champion

Two days after getting to know the Bernabéu as a home player, Marc Cucurella experienced his presentation ceremony. The world champion with Spain and also with Chelsea staged his arrival at the White House alongside the club's president, Florentino Pérez .
After Madrid made an impact with his signing in mid-June, two months later Cucurella 's presence is made official with the ceremony that has been taking place over the last few days.
Cucurella was a lightning operation in which Jose Mourinho was key. The Real Madrid coach made his name the absolute priority to strengthen the left-back position, in which the Catalan was not a starter last Saturday at Cornellà, but he did get minutes with a view to a starting spot that is indisputable.
On Wednesday, against Real Sociedad, Cucurella will set foot on the Bernabéu pitch again. He has not done so since March 2024. A moment that changed his life. With the Spanish national team, against Brazil, he was in the starting lineup after being called up due to Gayá's absence. Since that day, he has been Luis de la Fuente's undisputed left-back. A path that led him to sign for Madrid.
Upon joining the training sessions with his new team, Cucurella explained the feelings this new stage of his life was causing him: "I am very happy. Behind all of this there is a lot of work, and all the effort I have put in over these years has been worth it. I am very happy about everything that is happening to me and hopefully it continues like this, winning titles and, above all, being able to enjoy this experience".
'And he expressed gratitude for the support of the fans before whom he will be presented in just a few hours: "I have received many messages and I will try to give my best always and in every minute I get. I think the most important thing, and what we all want, is to win titles in this shirt ."'
The event followed the same script as the previous ones: Florentino Pérez welcomed him in the boardroom, where the defender signed the contract that will tie him to the club for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2032. After the signing, Cucurella received a replica of the stadium, a watch, and a jersey with his name and the number 17 on the back. Also attending the event was the honorary president, José Martínez, Pirri.
'Afterwards, his words appeared on the club's website: " The summer has felt long . But now the time has come to wear the shirt of the best club in the world, which has won so many titles and still has more to win. It is a source of pride, an honor".'
Like the rest of the signings, the backdrop was the 15 Champions Leagues. "The truth is, it's impressive . I remember very well the one won with the comebacks. Hopefully I can win one myself. I've suffered at the Bernabéu as an away player. It's a magical stadium where incredible things can happen in ten minutes. I'm really looking forward to playing there," explained Cucurella.
