Real Madrid is the new sponsor of the Spanish F1 Grand Prix
The proximity between the circuit and Real Madrid City, both in Valdebebas, gives shape to a unique collaboration that will allow Madring to use certain club facilities during the event
R eal Madrid is the new sponsor of the Madring circuit and the Spanish F1 Grand Prix , which takes place from September 11 to 13, following the agreement announced this Wednesday by the event's organizers.
After some controversy over the noise generated by the F3 cars and the videos of the players in training, it is clear that both entities have a perfect understanding and want to benefit mutually from their proximity.
In addition, that weekend, the date of Real Madrid-Rayo Vallecano has not yet been set, but taking into account that the Champions League begins the following week, it is very likely that the league clash will be played on Saturday and that players like Courtois and the rest of the squad will be able to attend the F1.
'"Real Madrid joins the Spanish F1 GP as a local event supporter of the first edition at Madring , which will be held from September 11 to 13", the statement says.'
"The agreement brings together the most decorated football club with one of the most prestigious, followed, and influential sporting events on the international stage that will be held in Madrid. There is also a curious coincidence: Real Madrid City and the northern area of Madring are neighbors in Valdebebas. Barely 200 meters separate the circuit’s northern entrance from the main gate of Real Madrid City, a proximity that will be especially visible during the Grand Prix weekend".
"The facilities of the white club cover an area of 120 hectares and house the facilities where all of the club’s sports teams work , including the men’s first team, women’s team, academy, and basketball, in addition to the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. A short distance away is the Valdebebas plot through which the northern sector of Madring runs and where La Monumental is located, the most characteristic curve of the new circuit".
This proximity will make it possible to incorporate certain Real Madrid facilities into the Grand Prix operations during the race weekend . Madring thus expands its operational capacity by relying on facilities located right next to the circuit.
"The agreement will also bring Real Madrid inside the Grand Prix. The club will have a presence in different hospitality areas of Madring" during the weekend, where the participation of legends and some of its most prominent figures is planned," the official statement concludes.
Atlético partnered in November 2025
'It should be remembered that since November 2025, Atletico de Madrid has been the "local event supporter" of the Spanish Grand Prix. And so, the Metropolitano Stadium will host the event’s main concert and will also serve as a logistical support center. It will be a meeting point for fans, with exclusive experiences, VIP areas, and direct transfers to the circuit. '
The two major clubs in the capital will thus be linked to a global event, with more than 80 million television viewers and some 150 million followers through digital media and social networks.
