'Rodri: "Real Madrid went all out to sign me"'
The national team midfielder looks back on what Real Madrid’s interest in him was like
Rodrigo Hernández still remembers the summer weeks when his signing for Real Madrid seemed close . The Barcelona midfielder, interviewed on El Partidazo de Cope , made it clear that if he did not end up at the white club, it was not due to a lack of interest from Madrid.
"From my position, I have to say that Madrid showed interest from the very first moment, that they behaved exemplarily and that the proposals were to go after the player, and I also want to make that clear," said Rodri.

Asked about whether Madrid gave it everything to try to sign him , he said: "I don't know what going 100% means, but it's clear they were interested and they went all in a bit with what they had and by showing their interest, which I appreciate, because I spoke with some of them and that's it".
Rodri did not want to reveal whether he had contact with Florentino Pérez during those weeks: "I spoke with people from there, who conveyed to me their enthusiasm, how eager they were for me to go there, and that also made my decision more complicated, that's clear."
