J on Rahm 's time as a LIV Golf player is over. The golfer has decided to leave the league and will not play in LIV 2.0 in 2027, news first reported by NUCLR Golf that MARCA can confirm. This morning the Basque player's lawyers confirmed it during a hearing in a U.S. bankruptcy court. As detailed by John Beck, representing "Rahmbo", he stated that his client “has independently reviewed the proposed terms of LIV 2.0 ... and has determined that those terms are unacceptable to him, and he will not participate going forward”. '

Precisely, LIV announced yesterday that BC Partners Credit will provide a $300 million investment (around €265 million) for the new LIV 2.0 project, but the golfer from Biscay will no longer be part of it. Players have until the 25th to decide whether to join this new venture or part ways with the new managers . The new version will consist of 10 tournaments, five of them in the United States, and the prize money will drop drastically.

"The Lion of Barrika"'s plans for next year are unknown, although he is a member of the DP World Tour and can compete on this circuit. This year, the PGA Tour opened the door to Brooks Koepka—subject to the payment of a donation and excluding him from the benefits received by players—and that same offer was extended to Rahm, DeChambeau, and Cam Smith, although they chose to remain in LIV. Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced in April that it would stop funding the league, and since then there has been a great deal of uncertainty.

Jon Rahm's earnings while competing in LIV Golf, apart from his signing bonus, amount to 96 million dollars. He signed with this league in 2023 and his first season was 2024; since then he has won four tournaments (and played in four playoffs) and was crowned circuit champion in all three seasons in which he has competed there thanks to his incredible consistency.
