As if LIV Golf 's problems weren't bad enough, they're about to lose one of their biggest stars. Jon Rahm appears set to leave LIV Golf after nearly three years with the organization. With the company undergoing bankruptcy proceedings , Rahm isn't taking any chances with his future at 31 years old .

When Rahm made the decision to join LIV Golf in December of 2023, it was an extremely controversial one. He had previously said he wouldn't do so, but money ended up talking . The Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund simply threw too much financial incentive in his face, and Rahm - like many other top golfers - couldn't resist.

Jon Rahm is still owed over $100 million from LIV Golf

Rahm reportedly had received a contract worth upwards of $300 million from LIV Golf . But Rahm hasn't seen all of that contract; in fact, Mark Schlabach of ESPN reports that " it is believed that Rahm is owed more than $100 million ". Per the New York Times and Spotrac , Rahm earned over $100 million in three seasons while competing under LIV Golf .

Rahm isn't the only one dealing with missed payments now that the PIF has ceased funding. The likes of Bryson DeChambeau , Dustin Johnson , Cameron Smith , Tyrrell Hatton , and Brooks Koepka are in the same boat.

But Rahm was supposed to be the saving grace for LIV Golf as they underwent this massive restructure . Now, his future is up in the air, and LIV Golf could be dead in the water. The question is whether he ever sees the money he's owed or not.
