T iger Woods and Vanessa Trump are reportedly discussing marriage after a difficult year brought them closer together, with the couple said to be serious about building a future together - however, a proposal is not necessarily imminent.
The pair have supported each other through major personal challenges in 2026, including Woods ’ arrest following a rollover crash in Florida and Vanessa ’s breast cancer diagnosis.
And their experiences have reportedly strengthened their bond, whilst their families have grown closer, and an insider said marriage had become a topic of conversation as the relationship developed.
“They’re very serious about each other and absolutely see a future together,” the source told Page Six. “Marriage is something they’ve talked about, but that doesn’t mean a proposal is necessarily around the corner.
“Going through difficult times together has brought them closer and shown them that they can count on one another. It’s one thing to enjoy the good times together.
"But they’ve also seen how the other person handles things when life gets difficult. They’ve both been through a lot this past year and have really leaned on each other.”
Tiger and Vanessa grow closer through difficult year
Woods faced a major setback in March when he was arrested, and he subsequently sought treatment at a facility in Switzerland and stepped away from public life to focus on recovery.
Then in September, he reached a plea agreement and pleaded no contest to reckless driving, resulting in a five-year suspension of his driver's license whilst Vanessa also endured a serious health challenge with her breast cancer battle.
She later shared that she was recovering from surgery and preparing for further treatment, before announcing on October 23 that she was cancer-free following clear test results.
And Woods reportedly remained by her side throughout her treatment, and the couple have been celebrating privately since receiving the positive news, demonstrating the mutual support that has reportedly strengthened their relationship.
The couple’s family connections have helped bring them together as Vanessa , who was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 until their separation in 2018, has a daughter who is forging a golfing career.
The 19-year-old Kai is currently at the University of Miami competing for the Hurricanes , and has been photographed with Woods on several occasions this year, no doubt absorbing information about how to play the game from the PGA legend.
Despite the attention surrounding their partnership, the pair have largely kept their private lives out of the spotlight and neither has publicly confirmed an engagement or announced plans to wed.
