East Lake prepares to decide 2026 season

East Lake has become synonymous with the PGA Tour ’s season finale, and this year’s championship follows the BMW Championship and FedEx St. Jude Championship as the final stop of the FedEx Cup Playoffs .

The Atlanta course will test players across four rounds without a cut, putting an emphasis on consistency from Thursday through Sunday.

Last year’s championship was won by Tommy Fleetwood , who finished at 18-under with a four-round total of 262.

That means there is little time for anyone to ease into this year’s tournament.

A poor opening round can immediately leave a player chasing, while a strong Thursday can establish the position needed to attack the weekend.

By Sunday evening, four days at East Lake will have produced the final major statement of the 2026 PGA Tour season.
